Brazil are the most successful team in the World Cup. They have competed in every competition, winning five times: 1958, 1962 and 1970, 1998 and 2002.
There was also
heartbreak; defeat as the host nation in
1950.
Brazil has also produced many of the tournament's greatest players. Everyone has heard of Pelé, Ronaldo and Ronaldhino. Less famous are great players from the early years like de Brito, Leonidas and Artur Friedenrich.
